Dropping In
Objective
The objective of the mission is to collect and secure more of the Strange Crystals than your opponent.
Battlefield
Set up a sector mechanicus battlefield.
Place 4 Crystal Cluster Markers evenly around the battlefield, preferably on top of terrain.
Randomly place 6 Loot Caskets. The rules for these can be found here.

Deployment
You are dropping in from above, using whatever you have on hand; ropes, drop rigs, grav shoots etc. but the equipment has been borrowed from the ships stores and is unreliable due to it being poorly maintained. That is unless you brought your own of course!?
Write all the fighters names for both gangs on small scraps of paper, mix the scraps together, then sprinkle them over the battlefield from a meter above the table.
Where each scrap of paper lands is where the fighter with that name deploys.
Any scraps of paper that land off the table have missed the drop zone, and the corresponding fighters do not deploy.
Any fighter equipped with a drop rig, grav-chute, jump booster, grav-cutter or similar method of controlled flight or that have a wyrd power or skill that grants flight do not have to deploy like this. Instead the controlling player may pick a point on the battlefield and the model randomly scatters 2D6 from that point. note: if the model scatters off the battlefield it does not deploy.
Gathering the Crystals
A standing and active fighter that is in base to base contact with a Crystal Cluster Marker may make a harvest crystal (double) action. Make an intelligence test for the fighter, if successful the controlling player gains a Strange Crystal loot marker to represent the crystal, then roll a D6, on a 5+ the Crystal Cluster Marker is removed. Once 2 Crystal Cluster Markers have been removed stop rolling to remove the remaining 2, they are inexhaustible.
Each time a fighter successfully harvests a Strange Crystal, permanently mark their fighter card with a 🔶 symbol or similar. This does not currently have any effect, but you will need to keep track of this throughout the campaign.
Ending/Victory
If either gang has no fighters left on the battlefield at the end of any round, the battle ends immediately.
If at the end of any round one of the gangs has a total of 10 Strange Crystal loot markers, the battle ends immediately.
The gang with the most Strange Crystal loot markers wins the scenario.
No fighters may be captured in this scenario.
Rewards & XP
Each Fighter that deployed on the table gains 1xp
Each Fighter that successfully harvested one or more Strange Crystals gains 1xp
The Gangs add 10creds to their stash for each they Strange Crystal loot marker they have
Rep
Each Gang gains +1 Rep for taking part
The Gang that won the scenario gains +1 Rep
If a Gang Bottled Out they loose 1 Rep
