Week 4: The Mills Have Eyes

Corpse Town continues to develop; new settlers arrive everyday from Cog-Port bringing with them equipment and material to build the settlement. The Old Corpse Town Brewery is now back online filling the temporary bars and watering holes with cheap booze, providing the towns people with a source of entertainment: either drowning their sorrows or watching the spontaneous nightly gunfights in the streets.

Not all is going well, however. There is still talk of the mysterious fighters that delayed the main expedition with their ambush. Despite being chased off by the gangs valiant attack, rumours are circulating of eyes watching from the shadows. Caravans heading out into the wastes disappear with no trace and dome runners have been going missing. There is no clues pointing to the identity of these mysterious figures apart from a number of pieces of strange graffiti that have begun cropping up around Corpse Town and the rest of The Slump. The content of the writing varies from threats to slogans, but all are signed “The Lost”

With the growth of Corpse Town, more of the Necromundan elite are becoming interested in the new opportunities the outpost provides. The eyes of Cog-Port are fixed upon The Slump and the gangs see this as an opportunity to gather more support to their cause.

On the edge of No Scummersland is an abandoned industrial sector previously designated for the processing and production of corpse starch. Dome Runners returning from this area report that there are a large number of crystals which the CCCP seek. Any gang bringing crystals back to Corpse Town is sure to curry favour with the Guilders and Nobles.

With this in mind, the gangs strike out into the industrial sector, not realising that the area may not be as abandoned as they have been led to believe…
